A quick recap: What does the Transport, Plant & Equipment add-on do?

Originally launched in 2022, the add-on allows companies to manage compliance data for vehicles, trailers, vessels, plant and equipment directly within their Rapid Global system. A configurable matrix enables you to specify required documents and fields, helping you manage safety-critical information across subcontractor assets.

With growing adoption across the transport sector, we’ve listened to client feedback and made several enhancements to improve how the add-on works behind the scenes.

What’s new?

Configure workflows by asset ‘sub-type’

You can now create workflows that are specific to different vehicle, trailer, or equipment types. For example, a B-Double and a forklift can now have entirely separate document and field requirements. This helps reduce unnecessary submissions and tightens compliance workflows at the asset level.

Mandatory vs optional fields – now customisable

Previously, standard fields came with fixed mandatory/optional settings. With this update, you can now choose which fields or documents are mandatory or optional specific to the type of vehicle, trailer, vessel, plant or equipment you are setting up. For example, you might mark Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) as mandatory for cement trucks but optional for excavators.

Expanded field library

We’ve added a range of new standard fields in response to industry requests and evolving legislative needs. This ensures you’re capturing the right data at the right time and staying compliant as the regulations shift.
