As 2025 races towards the finish line, we’re not slowing down! This month, we’re making fleet compliance effortless with a comprehensive Transport module overhaul featuring Personnel Type segmentation, an extended Gallagher partnership, and more.
Transport Compliance just got easier
Staying on top of ever-changing transport regulations can feel like navigating a maze. Between state-specific requirements, federal mandates, industry standards, plus the overarching need to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, ensuring your fleet meets all compliance obligations is a constant challenge.
Our updated Transport, Plant & Equipment module within Rapid Contractor Management aims to cut through this complexity. Now you can define tailored requirements for every vehicle, trailer, and piece of equipment in your fleet, accommodating state, regional, and country-specific regulations based on your contractor locations. In addition, create compliance matrices that automatically maintain relevant documentation, demonstrating clear due diligence and meeting contracting standards for access requirements.
As part of this work, we made a few more changes: Transport Sub Type is mandatory, fields appear alphabetically (including a new VIN number field), and there is a new WA Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (WAHVAS) document type.
As a final note, it’s important to mention that additional Rapid products can augment your compliance workflow. RapidCheck automatically verifies Contractor Company documents, with Vehicle document verification coming soon. Meanwhile, Rapid Monitor uses licence plate recognition to sign authorised vehicles in and out of site, calculating dwell time and automating access. Rapid Auditor assists with maintenance audits, and Permit To Work helps with high-risk activities.

Segmenting Rapid Induct Personnel Types & Roles

We’ve also rolled out these new features:
Contractor Companies are now automatically suspended when their business type is changed from “Sole Trader” to “Company” or vice versa. Suspension can be overridden by an administrator or resolved once the contractor has uploaded the new insurances as per the usual process.
Staying on the topic of Company Registrations, it’s important to mention that for security reasons, only one session can be open at all times. We heard that this was not immediately evident, so we’ve updated the message displayed when a session expires. Learn more about this update.
And lastly, we’re extending our partnership with Gallagher even further, by becoming an Endorsed Technology Partner, continuing to empower customers to leverage Rapid’s worker and vehicle compliance data to grant or revoke site access in real-time. Learn more about this integration.
Bug fixes and performance improvements
While reports let you analyse trends at your own pace, notifications assist with drawing immediate attention to time-sensitive issues. This period, we fixed the Overdue Work Order Notification that was incorrectly being sent to administrators unrelated to the respective permits. We also fixed an issue preventing** Contractor Suspended notifications** from reaching responsible administrators. Lastly, the Permit Approver distribution list now excludes deactivated administrators.
We’ve also resolved numerous smaller issues and made minor enhancements and performance improvements across all products, all contributing to a smoother user experience.
