This month we bring you improvements to our Multi-Factor Authentication process, streamlined Work Order selection, and more!Â

Multi-Factor Authentication improvements
In today’s digital landscape, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is one of the most effective ways to protect against unauthorized access, with studies showing it can prevent up to 99% of automated attacks.Â
Security is especially paramount in workplace health and safety, to prevent unauthorised access to sensitive information, but adding friction always comes at a cost. That is why we’re excited to announce a significant improvement to our MFA implementation on our web applications. We hope this encourages more administrators to consider extra security measures to accounts and users.Â
Previously, MFA was required at initial login to MyRapid, but we’ve optimized this process by moving MFA verification to the account access level — Admin tiles, Worker tiles or B2B tiles, depending on whether you are an Administrator, a Worker or a Contractor Administrator.Â
This means users only need to complete MFA when accessing specific accounts that require it, rather than at every login. For administrators managing multiple clients, this streamlines their workflow while maintaining robust security where it matters most.Â
We’re working through these changes on mobile, so expect more updates on this soon.Â

Faster sign ins with pre-submitted Work OrdersÂ
From creating permits to ensuring safety protocols are followed, our Permit To Work solution helps protect teams during high-risk activities. Â
Each business is unique, so customers can choose to enable pre-submission and approval of Work Orders or allow for them to be automatically generated during the sign-in process, among other options. Previously, the process involved some duplication that created unnecessary burden for contractors, and delayed work commencement as a result.Â
With this release, contractors using Rapid GO and Rapid Access products will see a consolidated list of Work Orders during sign-in, allowing them to either select a pre-approved Work Order or create a new one if needed (mobile functionality coming soon). Â
This streamlined process ensures robust safety compliance without compromising operational efficiency.Â

Enhanced Rapid Access Logs and RequirementsÂ
Compliance visibility is crucial for site security, so we’re committed to improving our products to better help with this task.Â
With this release, administrators can filter entry logs to show Invalid Entries only, enabling quick identification of compliance issues. The sooner these issues are spotted, the faster they can be addressed and resolved.Â
Additionally, we’ve improved how Trainee Requirements are calculated: Rapid Access-issued courses will now remain in workers’ requirements and profiles, even when modifications are made.Â

Microsoft ends support for Windows 10 in OctoberÂ
Microsoft will cease providing critical security updates for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. This will impact the security and functionality of Rapid Access kiosks running Windows 10.Â
To maintain security and ensure continued operation, we strongly recommend upgrading to Windows 11 before this deadline. Please consult your IT team to discuss upgrade options and compatibility or contact Rapid Client Services Support at [email protected].Â

Bug fixes and performance improvementsÂ
As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering the best possible experience, we’ve implemented various small fixes across our platform and products. Â
These behind-the-scenes enhancements focus on improving system performance, consistency, and reliability, and even though they may not be immediately visible, they contribute to a faster, more stable experience for all users. Â
We’ve also addressed several minor bugs, ensuring our software continues to meet the high standards our clients expect.Â
