Accelerating sustainable procurement: a look at the Givvable and Rapid integration

In our increasingly globalised world, the sustainability movement is vital in helping us construct an inclusive, equitable, and environmentally-friendly future. As consumers grow more aware, they’re demanding greater transparency from businesses, pushing them to prioritise their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.

Recognising this, Rapid is excited to announce an integration with Australian company Givvable, offering a seamless integration that brings real-time visibility of a contractor’s ESG credentials to clients using Rapid Contractor Management. Traditionally, contractor pre-qualification and due diligence were primarily focussed on financial stability,  risk, and legal and regulatory compliance (including of course, safety!). However, the procurement landscape is changing. Now, more than ever, businesses are looking to work with suppliers who not only meet regulatory requirements but also align with their values. This has meant that due diligence has expanded to include sustainability, ethical sourcing, diversity, and transparent supply chains.

This shift is why the Givvable and Rapid integration is so helpful for clients. This integration allows clients to automate and enhance supplier due diligence without burdening contractors, by leveraging independently validated credential data across all ESG issues: environmental, ethical, diversity, social, community and governance.

Givvable, with its ability to check up on over 2500 supplier credentials, is a leader in delivering trustworthy sustainability data. This is a major benefit for businesses, providing them with reassurance that their suppliers are truly upholding their sustainability commitments, while also checking their overall safety compliance in the Rapid system. Rapid’s easily searchable database of over 100,000 contracting businesses provides a streamlined way to search for registered suppliers.

Enhancing contractors’ competitive edge with ESG badges in Rapid

The integration aligns ESG compliance with procurement, enabling contracting businesses to boost their reputation, support consumer and investor preferences, and foster superior supply chain performance. Equally, contractors possessing ESG badges can leverage this to their advantage. Adherence to recognised ESG standards has become an attractive trait, increasing the value proposition for such contractors.

It’s a mutually beneficial situation that encourages continuous improvement in supplier sustainability. Contracting businesses can register their business for free on the Givvable supplier portal to have their ESG badges appear in Rapid.
