The integration between Rapid and ICT centres on creating efficient and secure access management systems. By connecting Rapid Access’s user-friendly interface with ICT’s advanced Protege GX platform, security operations across various entry points become streamlined. This integration offers robust solutions for both pedestrian and vehicle access, accommodating complex scenarios with ease.
For pedestrian access, Rapid Access kiosks, available on iPad and Android, check in employees and contractors while verifying compliance with entry requirements like ID and health checks. These kiosks interface with Protege GX to automate permissions, ensuring that only authorised personnel gain access. This setup simplifies security management and enhances it with biometric records and real-time compliance monitoring.
On the vehicle side, Automatic Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) technology, along with Rapid Contractor Management’s Transport Module, uses LPR cameras to read and verify licence plates against compliance documents. Managed through Protege GX, this ensures only compliant vehicles gain entry, with detailed logs for audits and reports.
For clients looking for simpler solutions, temporary PIN codes can be generated during sign ins, to grant time-limited access (generally used for one-off contractor visits) and entry logs collected from swipe card access can be synced to Rapid Access to leverage Rapid’s reporting capabilities.
