November 2024 product updates

November updates bring you the ability to classify documents based on their sensitivity, new mobile dashboards for Contractors and Inductees, a new set of Rapid Risk notifications, and more!

Documents can be classified based on information sensitivity

We are committed to ensuring top-tier security and privacy throughout our platform. That is why Contractor and Inductee documents – that is, certificates, licences, attestations – can now be classified as Public, Internal Use, Sensitive and Restricted, in accordance with ISO 27001 Information Security Management standard guidelines.

In addition, we’ve broadened administrator permissions to enable better control over document accessibility. Administrators can now allow or restrict access to specified types, thereby reducing information disclosure proactively.

Updated Mobile dashboards for Rapid Induct and Rapid Contractor Management

Mobile apps provide vital data and insights at your fingertips, enabling swift decision-making. That’s why they’re a key part of our product suite, and we are continually enhancing the information they deliver.

The Company Dashboard has arrived on the Rapid Admin mobile app, enabling users to search for contractor companies, view their details, and utilize filters to streamline their search. Similarly, documents and workers can be searched for, filtered and reviewed.

Additionally, Administrators that use Rapid Induct can now view Documents & Forms, and their details, in addition to Trainees and their related information and compliance status.

New set of Rapid Risk Notifications

Streamline your organisation’s risk management with new notifications, ensuring responsibilities are met while improving communication and visibility throughout the process.

Control Measure Owners and Auditors now receive email notifications upon assignment of one or more tasks. Additionally, Auditors are alerted about impending and overdue deadlines. Action Owners are similarly notified upon task assignment, as well as about forthcoming and elapsed due dates.

Lastly, Administrators are notified when a Risk Assessment is ready to be verified, in order to progress its completion.

Changes to Incident masking

Before this update, we automatically concealed names in incidents reported anonymously. While enhancing privacy, this made it difficult to assign reports and actions due to the hidden identities. To balance these needs, we’ve updated the feature to make name masking optional and added a helpful tooltip detailing how masking operates when activated.

We understand that security needs may vary across organizations, with some preferring masking for higher privacy and some not. Our aim with this update is to accommodate both needs, giving every organisation control to customise security features according to their preference.

This change provides an improved balance between privacy and practical use, empowering organisations with more control over the information displayed in anonymous incident reports, enhancing manageability and user experience.

Changes to User Sessions’ Duration

We’ve made an update to our web application that adjusts the duration of user sessions.

Previously, users who did not select ‘Keep me signed in’ were automatically logged out of Rapid after 30 minutes, or after 15 hours if they did.

We’ve now extended these durations to 1 day and 30 days respectively. This means less frequent re-logins for our users, creating a more seamless experience within the app.

Bug fixes and improvements

As 2024 nears its end, our team has been diligently working on fine-tuning our products.

Although these adjustments may appear minor individually, each one plays a part in a greater whole: they contribute to improved product functionality. This means you, as a user, should notice a more seamless, faster, and overall enhanced experience when using Rapid.

We’re always listening

We continuously review and improve our applications, to ensure you get the best experience, so please do not hesitate to reach out to share your feedback, request features and troubleshoot issues.
